How does it work?
Our private events generally run about three hours; 2 hours of learning and creating, one hour of savoring and celebrating.
Does everyone get a hands-on cooking experience?
The amount of individual hands on time depends on several factors including number of guests and menu choice. With larger sized groups we often combine hands-on and chef demonstration elements.
Do we need to bring anything?
We supply everything including aprons, ingredients, chef instructor(s), backup staff, tableware, centerpieces, menu cards. It’s all included!
Can we bring our own wine or beer?
Yes! Arranged in advanced and for a nominal fee, you may bring in wine and beer for your event. No outside food or other beverages are allowed in the Urban Kitchen.
How do I reserve a date?
We require a non-refundable deposit of $100 to book a date. Final guest count and balance payment are due one week prior to your event date.
What types of menus do you have?
We work with our host to bring their vision to life including the menu. Many options are considered including food preferences, interested cooking techniques, group size, and budget. All meals are made from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Do you require a minimum number of guests?
Our minimum requirements are based on expenditure rather than number of guests and include factors such as date & time. Generally, the minimum spend is $600 for a private event.
Do you host private events for children?
Yes! Our ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ private events are kids-sized versions of our adult events designed for children, ages eight thru fourteen.
